In Memory of Yayoi Asoma

Studio in a School mourns the loss our teaching artist, colleague and friend Yayoi Asoma. Yayoi was a gifted artist and an equally gifted teacher who was passionate about cultivating creativity in young people. At her family's request, we have set up this donation page so that family and friends can remember her by helping to ensure public school children have access to visual arts. We are thankful to Yayoi for 15 years of service to the children of New York City and Studio in a School. We see her legacy in the beautiful artwork created by her students. We miss our colleague dearly.
