Hi, I am SO excited to be training for my first marathon!! I have partnered with Studio In A School in a fundraising effort to support visual arts education for NYC public school students. Since its founding in 1977, Studio has reached over 1,200,000 students in all five boroughs, and today serves 23,000 annually in its mission to provide consistent, quality arts programming, particularly in low-income communities where tens of thousands of students lack this vital dimension of education. As an artist and NYC transplant, I feel a particular connection to this cause. Nurturing the creativity of young people is one of the greatest and longest lasting gifts we can give, one that shines a light of hope into the future, and I'm grateful to be uniting this mission with my love for running, which along with art as gotten me through many a tough time. Thank you for considering supporting both this valuable education and my big race!!! Every contribution is so appreciated :-)
