2026 TCS NYC Marathon

Running the NYC Marathon has always been a personal goal of mine, but being able to do it in support of Studio in a School makes it incredibly meaningful. My grandfather, Richard Roob, was deeply involved with the organization, and through him I saw from an early age the impact that access to arts education can have on young students.

Having grown up immersed in creative disciplines and later studying art history in college, creativity has shaped who I am. I believe deeply in the importance of arts education and the role it plays in fostering confidence, curiosity, and self-expression.

This experience feels incredibly full-circle -bringing together my passion for running with a cause that has long been close to my heart. Running the marathon is a meaningful way for me to honor my grandfather’s legacy while helping ensure that more students across New York City have access to the arts.
